Summer is here! Driving an EV this means lower consumption and less rain during your charging breaks! Speaking of charging, did you read the latest blog about an UNLIMITED July superdeal from Endesa (Spain) & Enel (Italy)? More info at the end of the newsletter!
#TourDeChargeNL (edition one)
Back in April I checked up on local High Power Charging (100kW+) infrastructure in The Netherlands. The blog contains advice on charging cards to use as well as videos of my first Tour De Charge!
For a couple of days I only used the fastest infrastructure available, no AC charging at all. I never charged more than 10 minutes at 100kW+ speeds. The Tesla Model 3 SR+ has been incredibly reliable especially in predicting correct range and the influence of driving style. Thanks UFODRIVE!
I paid special attention to gas stations putting up more and more HPC's in NL: Tango, Total, Shell Recharge, soon Tamoil is joining.
Meanwhile Fastned (working on the new alpitronic look!) has 100 stations live in NL and Ionity is close to 250 live locations around Europe. We're getting somewhere!

#TourDeChargeNL April 2020 edition. What to expect. Fastned, Ionity,
Allego, Tango Electric, Shell Recharge, Total, I visited all of them with
the UFODRIVE Tesla Model 3SR+ to find out what charging speed you can
expect.
Shared mobility in Amsterdam
Amsterdam (NL) means business. Shared electric mobility is increasing big time and I feel it's only beginning. I wrote about new scooters and cars arriving to town and the amazing fact that a Jaguar is cheaper to drive than a NIU scooter here.
The Sixt Share drop off feature in other cities is especially worth looking into if your commute is from Amsterdam to The Hague or Rotterdam (and vice versa).
Driving a shared electric Jaguar car in Amsterdam cheaper than riding a shared scooter! — electricfelix — www.electricfelix.com
Driving a shared electric Jaguar in Amsterdam costs less than riding a
shared scooter around town. Sixt Share starts out with a bang offering
electric shared mobility at the best rates in the business right at your
doorstep. Also works in The Hague and Rotterdam!
Biking on the side
If you're following EV's you must've seen some ads by now because VanMoof is pushing their newest electric bike from all angles it seems. I have yet to try it out for a long journey. The short try out blog is here!
First test ride VanMoof S3 ebike in Amsterdam. Join me for a quick tour
around Oosterpark area on the brand new VanMoof S3. Many photos of the
VanMoof S3 and some short videos. First impressions. Available before
summer 2020. Ebiking around Amsterdam.
Charging infrastructure in France
Back in winter, Izivia shutdown most of their DC chargers in France. It's sad that we're now entering summer and no changes are happening, the situation might be slowly worsening even. I updated the travelguide to France, please share it with friends if they have plans to head there by EV this season.
Visiting France with an electric vehicle can be a bit daunting and here you
can find my travel guide full of tips of which charging cards and apps to
use to find your way around France with an electric vehicle.

Last week I checked out the CAKE kalk& thanks to Magnetic Motors. I will write about the full two wheeled freedom experience soon.
Next week the calendar shows I'm heading out with the DS 3 Crossback E-Tense and there's more on the way! You can always find out where I'm going next at the Trips section.
There is a new Berlin challenge coming up. Back in December '18 it took around ten hours with the Jaguar I-Pace from Amsterdam to Berlin, Dutch newspaper Trouw wrote about it.
Last October UFODRIVE handed me the opportunity to test the Tesla Model 3LR which could handle nearly 200kW charging speeds back then thanks to Ionity. Seven hours, from Berlin to Amsterdam.
This July the electricfelix #BerlinChallenge will return, more spectacular than ever. The next newsletter will tell you all about it!
As electricfelix I like to keep on discovering, if you want to know where
I'm headed next, or where I just went. It's all here. Future and past
electricfelix electric roadtrips.

Aljo Hartgers who booked a ride with me to Berlin back in winter, started his Podcast over Duurzaamheid (in Dutch) and invited me as his first guest. Talking about EV travels, electric cars, European (fast) charging infrastructure and how I started out with everything electric!
